It started with a cardboard cut-out.
A slightly ridiculous idea, a stubborn little family and a belief that good things happen around a fire.

A laugh. A pause.
Then the first fire.
In 2021, during the tougher days of Covid, I walked into the kitchen and saw the cardboard cut-out my husband had made for “this idea”. I giggled. How on earth were we going to make it happen?
We paused for a while, then started testing materials and built our very first IglOven. It was almost impossible to move and, honestly, a complete flop. We still laugh about it.
But we kept experimenting. Then our first order arrived. It was terrifying and exciting in equal measure — and it gave us the belief to keep improving.
From cardboard to craft
The shape kept changing.
The reason never did.
Every failed mix, impossible lift and late-night adjustment brought the family closer to the oven they wanted to make: strong enough for real life and warm enough to become part of the family.
